Renewable energies: 130,000 new jobs for one euro per household per month?…verified.

With the adoption of the “law amending legislation on renewable energies in the electricity sector” (the amendment to the Renewable Energies Act) various sweeping arguments have been used to counter any criticism of the cost and economic impact, including for example:

- Promoting renewable energies only costs one euro a month per household; by 2012 it will be 1.1 to 1.2 euros.

-  Renewables have already created 130,000 jobs.

-  Critics of the Renewable Energies Act, however, want to put almost another € 16 bn into the German coal industry between 2006 and 2012.
